Selective laser trabeculoplasty is truly one of the miracles of modern science. The surgery is done in a clinical setting and prior to being released, you will be checked thoroughly by the doctor and nurses in charge. They will make sure that you are prepared to leave the clinic and that you are aware of any type of problems and what to look for. You will not be permitted to drive home from the clinic on your own as someone will have to drive you to the clinic and pick you up.

The thought of running into selective laser trabeculoplasty problems should not ward you off from getting this procedure if your eye doctor recommends this surgery. It is not something that you should be frightened of as it is a very common procedure and one that usually gets excellent results. No longer do you have to be destined to be unable to see if you have been diagnosed with glaucoma. Because of the many different treatments available for this disease, the prognosis today is better than ever before.
